30 April 21 - Small Business Feature Friday

For this last Friday in April, we are featuring a phenominal hair stylist, Merwen Acosta! Merwen is the co-owner of Imperial hair salon in Tullahoma. Imperial is a full service salon with a fun feature I have not seen at any other salon: they have a "playground/kid's corner" for children to play in the salon while their parents are getting their hair done. WOW! You can see in the picture, Zoey had an awesome time there playing with Merwen! As a parent, I know how hard it is to go to the stylist without my kids, so them having an area for them is amazing!

On another note, sometimes getting a haircut can be scary for children, and if you have sensory sensitivities, it can be quit terrifying! Speaking from experience, it can be very hard to find a stylist that is comfortable working with children that have sensory sensitivities. I was recommended to Merwen from a friend, and she couldn't stop singing her praises! Merwen has worked with several children that have sensory sensitivities, and she is calm, patient, loving and tries to make them feel comfortable and at ease during the process.
