We’re continuing our support for #AutismAcceptanceMonth by featuring businesses for SBFF that embrace, support, benefit, help and accept autistic individuals! Today we are featuring a phenomenal Non-Profit Organization located in Tullahoma: HorsePlay Inc. HorsePlay is a recreational therapeutic horseback riding program designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical and/or mental challenges. They are instituted and managed by a dedicated team of volunteers, medical professionals, and horse enthusiasts. If you are interested in your child participating in HorsePlay please email them at horseplayincorporated@gmail.com.
This is a wonderful organization that brings so much joy to so many children in our community. They are always in need of volunteers in so many areas! Each HorsePlay session takes a tremendous number of volunteers. Volunteers work to lead the horse or work as side-walkers for the riders. In order to participate, volunteers must complete a short training session to become qualified. They offer training once a month. HorsePlay is also always needing help to keep their horses and farm in tip-top shape! The horses require individualized work to enable them to be good at their therapy job and must be groomed frequently. The farm requires maintenance and farm work by their many wonderful volunteers to keep it safe and beautiful. Other areas in need of volunteers are event planning, fund raising, event worker, marketing, brochure development, social media, etc. Basically, if you have something you would like to contribute to them, let them know! They will gladly welcome you with open arms! You can email them at horseplayinc.volunteers@gmail.com or reach out to them on Facebook. If you are interested in making a monetary donation you can do so on their website with PayPal. If you have questions about donations, please feel free to reach out to Katie Alderman, Loretta Christian (931-434-1291) or Lisa Hatfield (931-255-5189).
If you haven’t heard, next Friday, April 23rd, is HorsePlay’s BIG Annual Luncheon Fundraiser! They make a wonderful homemade meal for curbside pick-up from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Grace Baptist Church, or they will deliver to you if it is five or more meals ordered! You must preorder your meal by calling TOP Rehab at 931-455-5189. Tickets are $10 for 1 or $100 for 12. What’s on the menu you ask? Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, cranberry sauce, green beans, a roll and dessert – YUM! Please support this outstanding Non-Profit in any way you can whether it is volunteering, donating, ordering a meal from their luncheon fundraiser next week or simply sharing this post to spread the word about them! They are truly making a difference in children’s lives and our community is blessed to have them.
